About Us

The Engineering Documents Center, established in 1966 by the Engineering Publications Office in the College of Engineering of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, is the depository for all technical reports produced by the College. The Center generally defines a technical report as any report that has not been published elsewhere in its entirety. The EDC collection is housed at the lower level of the Grainger Engineering Library Information Center.

The collection consists of over 16,000 titles. They comprise primarily of 23 departmental series. The collection includes reports written for governmental and industrial projects, theses written as technical reports, and some reprints of journal articles.
